The Float is a DIY project. Its music is inspired by the past 30 years of indie electronic music, especially from early Downtempo to modern Glitch-Hop. Analog synths, circuit bent machines and modern sequencers make a kind of "wonky music for scuba-diving".
The project was created by Olivier Désir, Belgian composer and arranger. With his past projects, Olivier played alongside people like Etienne De Crécy or Tom Middleton and performed warm-ups for bands like Royksopp or Air. He also made several collaborations, in particular with Samy Birnbach, singer of the mythic Minimal Compact. Recently, he also arranged the forthcoming album of Michel Moers, ex Telex member, famous Belgian electropop trio.
The debut E.P. from The Float will be released the 5/19/2014
